We are thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news! our artist from Colombia are crossing the Atlantic this fall to meet the Dutch cast, and we need your help to make the most of this journey.

About FOCARIS International:

In 2025, ConCuerpos, Colombia’s pioneering inclusive dance company, joined forces with its new cast from the Netherlands to create FOCARIS International—an evocative dance work exploring fire as a symbol of inner strength, gathering, resistance, and transformation. The creative process took place in Bogotá, where disabled and non-disabled artists from both countries came together through an artistic exchange rooted in accessibility, collaboration, and collective creation. By integrating Sign Language and creative audio description directly into the choreography, the work promotes equal access for d/Deaf and blind audiences while offering a rich sensory experience for all.

The Opportunity: From Scotland to the Dutch Stage:

FOCARIS International premiered in Bogotá in October 2025 to critical acclaim, and we have been invited to perform at the prestigious Gathered Together Festival in Scotland in September 2026. Thanks to this incredible invitation, our international travel costs are covered! This has opened up a golden opportunity to extend our journey and bring the production to the Netherlands.

During this leg of the tour, we will share performances, community workshops, and artistic exchanges across several Dutch cities and cultural spaces. This next chapter will deepen the bond between Colombian and Dutch artists while expanding access to inclusive dance across the region.

How Your Support Helps:

While our long-distance flights are taken care of, we need your help to make this local tour a reality. Your contributions will directly cover fair pay for the artists and production crew, accessibility needs, as well as accommodation and local production costs. By contributing, you are helping build a more inclusive future for the arts—one where accessibility is not an adaptation, but an artistic language in itself.

Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to making this impactful exchange possible. Please support our tour today by clicking the 'Donate' button and sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and network. Thank you for being a part of this movement!
