IN2 partnering gathering August 2026

A four-day intensive focused on duet work, partnering, and choreographic research through contemporary dance, improvisation, and contact improvisation.

August 6–9, 2026

Three teachers, each bringing a unique perspective and a practice in both partnering and choreography, will lead the process. Through these three viewpoints, participants will explore movement material, deepen embodied communication, and engage in composition in relation to another body. Each teacher will offer two classes, and on the final day, we will bring all the work together in one single piece — one final variation that unifies the three perspectives.

There will be two classes each day, and on the last day, we will gather all the material developed during the intensive into a shared performance moment.

This intensive invites you to connect, create, and discover a shared image that emerges from the meeting of three practices, three bodies, and one creation.
